Champs Steakhouse & Bar

We picked this steakhouse while on vacation because of its great reviews, but our experience was disappointing. Our first server, Jenn, was friendly and efficient. We decided to move outside, and she smoothly transferred us to another server, Ashley, who was just as nice. Service from both was great! My husband and I both ordered the Porterhouse steaks medium rare. Mine came out medium, and my husband’s was medium well. We mentioned his being over cooked, and the server offered to have it remade, but then told us they were out of Porterhouse steaks. The manager came over and helped us choose a different steak, but by the time my husband’s food arrived, I had already finished eating about five minutes earlier. The manager never checked back, and while they did remove the incorrect steak from the bill, there was no other effort to make things right. After I mentioned it to our server, she said she’d tell the manager — who ended up just taking a $6 drink off at my request, still without coming by the table. Both servers were great, but the lack of follow-up from management and overall hospitality really missed the mark. Mistakes happen, but how they’re handled makes all the difference. A guest who eats alone after the rest of their party has finished eating because of a mistake made by the kitchen should not be expected to pay full price. Otherwise, service was good and the outside deck seating is pleasant.

First time to visit. Prices were surprisingly lower than I would have expected. Wife had the rib eye steak and said it was good and cooked as per her order. I had the wings, sweet chili, they were very good with fries. The service was a little slow even when the place did not appear to have many people there. The food did not "wow" us. I gave them a 4 for food and will try again to see if anything changes.

My husband and I regularly frequent champs because we really enjoy the patio on the water. The atmosphere is one of a kind and the food is delicious! Today we decided to celebrate our first child’s baby shower at Champs. It was such a special day, and truly exceeded all of our expectations. I cannot thank the staff enough for giving us such a great experience that we will always remember. The owner was SO kind and made sure our event was seamless - parking, live music, and fresh food etc. if you’re in the area, we would most definitely recommend you come and support this local business!

Our bartender Jennifer, was new but very attentive and friendly. She handled everything well despite it being clear that management hasn’t fully trained her yet — she truly did her best and made the experience enjoyable. One area for improvement would be clarity around the coupons being advertised. It should be clearly stated whether they apply to alcohol or not, since that’s what initially drew us in. Good advertising shouldn’t lead to confusion for new guests. That said, Bingo Mondays were a lot of fun, and I’d definitely come back for that!

Great hang. Nice menu with great appetizers. Multiple beef offerings with chicken & fish well represented. I wasn’t too hungry so I chose a flat bread pizza with feta; very good. Jen picked a Beyond Burger perfectly grilled. Stephanie was the perfect host. She also served us as we rolled in kinda late. We were able to enjoy a Falcon 9 launch after dinner; it’s a great viewing spot for rockets. We’ll definitely return for more great food and rocket watches

Me and my family are doing a Harvest Host stay. We came in late do to unforeseen circumstances. Stephanie was more than gracious. She not only helped us to our spot but she also helped us with food recommendations! Meredith was our main waitress. She made me the most wonderful chocolate martini! We had the sample platter appetizer and sticky toffee for dessert! Oh my, it was all fabulous! We will be back!

We recently celebrated my husband’s birthday at Champs Steakhouse in Merritt Island, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. We hosted a group of about 25 people out in the Tiki area, and everything was handled flawlessly. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and organized. The atmosphere is phenomenal, especially in the Tiki, and it made the celebration feel extra special. The staff truly went above and beyond to make sure our event was memorable and stress-free. Highly recommend Champs Steakhouse for celebrations or group events. We’ll definitely be back! Huge thank you to PK and his crew!

Fantastic meal. We all had steaks. Perfectly cooked. Ceasar salad was excellent. Owner visited our table. Our server Amanda is great!!!! Attentive and friendly!
